(Oklahoma City) – This year patrons of the Annual Gift of Love Gala didn’t have to look far to find information about the charity event. Event organizers partnered with True Wireless to provide text message updates in the days leading up to the affair.
The Gala is a fundraiser to benefit The Center of Family Love a home for intellectually disabled adults located in Okarche Oklahoma. The center was opened in 1981 and currently provides a lovingly home to more than 100 residents.
“In years past it has been difficult for us to notify our guests with important logistical information,” CFL Executive Director Debbie Espinosa explained. “This year we were able to reach everyone real-time which made our registration process extremely efficient.”
In addition to providing telecommunications support True Wireless also sponsored a table at the event. “I strongly believe that companies must be good community partners,” True Wireless CEO Brian Cox said. “So when the opportunity to not only sponsor the event, but rather be an active participant in its success I believed it was our duty to give as much support as possible.”
The Gala raised more than $600,000 for the center. Those funds will be used for operational expenses for the residents.
